Attila the Hun

Attila the Hun, born around 406, was the monarch of the Huns from 434 until 453. HIs empire was large, and he was one of the most fearsome of Rome's enemies. He invaded the Balkans twice, marched through Gaul, and drove Valentinian III from the capital of Ravenna in 452, the year before his death.
